I know, I know. Since I am in Copenhagen I haven’t really taken any photos that show you how beautiful the city actually is. Although, I already know so many pretty spots that I want to share with you. But you know, settling down in a new city is not something that takes place within 1 to 2 months, not even within 3 or 4 months! Even though you want everything to be all set and done – knowing your way around, having found your favorite cafés and restaurants, and of course, meeting the people that become your friends – it takes a lot of time and effort to get there. Brrrr – it is already super cold outside here in Copenhagen and, for sure, winter is going to stay for a while. Winter always represents a little challenge in terms of fashion, I believe. Every morning you have to do a trade-off. Do I want to look stylish, or do I want to be warm today? Well, every morning we feel like Drake when he is singing „Can’t have everything; can’t have everything – but I want everything“. In this case though, we might be able to have everything: A stylish and a warm outfit at once. Wanna keep on wearing your favorite mini leather skirt from fall in winter? Then here is how. There is one particular trend this autumn/winter 2017 that I simply cannot resist: Teddy Fur! Ehhh fur? Don’t worry babes, it’s not made from real Teddybears – so no need to hide your sweet cozy friends. Alright, jokes aside. But next to fake fur and wool coats, which I talked about in my last two blog posts (here and here), this one continues with another type of statement jackets for this season – with the Teddy Coat or Teddy Jacket. Autumn fashion is all about finding the perfect knits, boots … and most importantly – coats! Yes, you got to make a wise choice when it comes to your coat, because you will probably wear it for a looong time… well, at least if you live up north like I do. However, there are just so many different coat styles! Last time I presented you guys the fake fur leopard coat, which is, I must admit, not everybody’s cup of tea. Wool coats, on the other hand, probably work for most of us. You just got to find the right color, length and cut!
Styling the leopard print is not an easy task – so is styling a fake fur coat. Double the challenge if you want to style a fake fur leopard coat! However, I accepted this challenge when I received this beautiful, super fluffy leopard coat from French Connection. Putting it on for the first time and looking into the mirror, my initial thoughts directly went to „Omg, that is just too much!“ – so I had to put it away again and think carefully about how to create a look with this coat that would not make you think of – let’s say – a certain kind of industry. As you guys might have noticed by now on my social media channels – yes, I cannot stop talking about it – I recently moved to Copenhagen for my Master’s Degree into my first real apartment with two of my friends. After one and a half years of subrenting different rooms and basically living in apartments of other people, I am so happy to be able to create my own home now. Strolling through all the amazing interior shops here in Copenhagen I wish I had an unlimited credit card… but reality is, IKEA is more or less my only option. Not that IKEA is a bad option at all, but I am someone who loves to do unique things; I appreciate individuality and to develop my own style. So, I decided to get a little bit creative by buying generic IKEA furniture and making little adjustments to them. Obviously I want to share those IKEA hacks with you, which are super easy, quick and most importantly, cheap! Continue Reading
How to find the perfect color concept for your room with Desenio Posters
Posted on 26. September 2017The last time I had the chance to furnish my own room was 4 years ago when I moved into my apartment in Maastricht for my Bachelor. I was way younger back then and I loved everything that was white and pink – and this is how my room also looked like. It was simply super girly. Now, a couple of years later I can actually call myself an adult (still feels weird though) and this also reflects in my new apartment here in Copenhagen. However, when I was thinking about a color-concept for my room I was a little bit overwhelmed with which colors to go for. I mean, the possibilities are endless and I don’t really have a favorite color. I needed some inspiration and decided to have a look at some Desenio posters. Continue Reading

Lately I’ve been obsessing with straight-leg joggers. I used to always say I cannot live without jeans and that denim is my absolute favorite… but this season cloth pants seem to win the morning struggle of what to wear more and more often. I already own three pairs of these kinds of striped joggers but my absolute favorite are those amazing red striped jogger from Zara. It was one of those items that felt like love at first sight. Copenhagen has amazing breakfast and brunch places to offer. The cafés are furnished in a super comfortable way, according to the Danish „Hygge“ lifestyle, and the menus offer everything you crave, especially if you are into trend- and superfoods! But often I ask myself, why go out to have brunch in a place that is made to look like home, when you can simply have an amazing breakfast in bed at your real home? After all, it’s not that hard to create your beloved hipster avocado on toast or muesli bowl yourself! Continue Reading
