The last time I had the chance to furnish my own room was 4 years ago when I moved into my apartment in Maastricht for my Bachelor. I was way younger back then and I loved everything that was white and pink – and this is how my room also looked like. It was simply super girly. Now, a couple of years later I can actually call myself an adult (still feels weird though) and this also reflects in my new apartment here in Copenhagen. However, when I was thinking about a color-concept for my room I was a little bit overwhelmed with which colors to go for. I mean, the possibilities are endless and I don’t really have a favorite color. I needed some inspiration and decided to have a look at some Desenio posters.
I basically went through the whole Desenio assortment and saved all the pictures that I liked. Then I realized that the posters I have chosen might actually be the best starting-point for a color concept for my room! My favorite poster was the „Marrakech“ themed one, which I knew I definitely had to get. That way, the colors of my room were basically set – just like the colors of the poster, it will be sandy-rose-wood, dark turquoise, mint and highlights of gold. Going from there, it became really easy to find the perfect decoration for my room. My color concept was even reflected in the frames as you can see! Also I liked to include a rather neutral poster in black and white with a super cool saying – Namastay in Bed – SO COOL; especially since I am on a total Yoga trip at the moment.
Oh and not to forget my Feminism-Finger Poster, which my roomies and I decided to hang up in the living room. It’s a pretty strong statement, but I just think it looks just super cool. Well yea, if you guys are struggling with finding a nice concept, take my advice and start with Desenio posters or photos you really, really like and then go on from there to add color to your room!
