A Night Out in New York – Wide Leg Striped Pants and Crop Top

New York’s style inspired me. While it is more subtle and casual during the day, at night girls from New York know how to dress up big time! The goal is to find the perfect balance between elegant, sophisticated and sexy – which is really not that easy! Going out here in Berlin and also back during the Maastricht days, you do not really care that much about what you wear. Basically, you could go in the same outfit that you wore during the day. But when I was in New York, I noticed that getting ready for the night was a whole process. It reminded me of the first times I went out when I was still younger. We took ages to get ready, thinking days before what to wear and how to do our hair… The night is special, thus you have to dress up accordingly. I do love this attitude though, I must admit. Sometimes I wonder why I lost it. I like dressing up, making myself look pretty, feel confident and just go out there and socialize. High heels finally have a purpose again. You can experiment with your make-up again. You can be that super feminin woman you sometimes just want to be.

So this look I am showing you today is very much inspired by this New York going-out scene. Those wide leg striped pants add on the elegance, the biker jacket gives it an edge and the crop top makes it sexy – overall a super sophisticated look. Yes, my shoes could be replaces with proper high heels, but I definitely dig those pointy leather shoes with this look.
