May I have some mustard, please?

Gelb ist eine ziemlich kritische Farbe. Eine Farbe, mit der man sich nicht so wirklich anfreunden kann und die einem nach kurzer Zeit auf die Nerven geht. Also geht man ihr von vorne rein aus dem Weg, und bleibt bei seinen besten Freunden, Schwarz und Weiß. Wen interessiert’s dass die Modeindustrie einem vorschwafeln will, dass es ja die Trendfarbe des Sommers 2015 sei?  Es gibt jedoch einen Ton unter den Gelbtönen, der meiner Meinung nach durchaus (er)tragbar, ja sogar ziemlich cool ist – Senfgelb! Aber zugegeben, ich hatte schon ein paar Schwierigkeiten dieses Oberteil zu kombinieren. Das lag jedoch nicht nur an der Farbe, sondern auch am Schnitt. Ich denke, Denim passt auf jeden Fall, aber wahrscheinlich wäre ein dunkleres Denim besser gewesen. Dunkel und low-waist, jaaa das wäre glaube ich besser gewesen… aber jetzt wurden die Bilder schon geschossen – denkt euch einfach eine andere Hose her ;) Wenn ihr noch andere Ideen habt, wie man dieses Oberteil am besten kombinieren könnte, immer her damit!

Yellow is quite a critical color. It’s a color you need some time to get used to and after a while it simply starts annoying you. So why all the effort of trying out to be more colorful? We can simply avoid them in the first place and turn to our beloved non-colors, black and white. Who cares if the fashion industry tries to push yellow to be the color trend for SS 2015? However, among all the shades of yellow, there is one tone which I think is quite wearable, even quite cool – mustard! No, Im not talking about the sauce but about a this darker, more muted yellow, which was also very prevalent in the 70s. But to be honest, I had some difficulties combining this top… not only because of the color, but also because of its cut! After taking the pictures, I think a dark denim, low-waist jeans would have been the better option. Too late now! Let me know though if you have any other suggestions of how to combine this top! :)
