In my last post I told you how stressful the last couple of weeks were for me and how much I pushed myself to my limits – as you can imagine, after the GMAT test my energy level completely dropped to zero. Since I knew that this is going to happen, I booked a flight to my second home, Cairo, where my parents are staying in our summer house. Being here right now is the best thing that could have happened. I literally feel how each and every day is giving me back some energy, thanks to my caring parents, the sun, the amazing food and the peaceful isolation I am enjoying to the fullest. When I’m in my overachiever-I-want-it-all-mode, I barely allow myself a day with doing nothing or sleeping in. I always have the urge to “seize the day” – a motto I love living for, but sometimes I forget that a day of staying in bed with series or movies might not always be a wasted day. We need those careless days from time to time, yes, to restore energy and turn the overheated head off for a while.
So today I put on the perfect holiday outfit, anything that is loose (!!), and went outside in the sun a little bit. Of course I could not resist taking photos in this beautiful light and location. I’m still here for a few more days and hope that by the end of this trip I am back to the powerful me again!
