One thing I love about autumn and winter is that the colder it gets, the more you make everything cozy: you get your thick blanked out, the colourful socks your grandma made you, and you buy all sorts of tea to keep yourself warm. Of course you also adjust your wardrobe with all kinds of knit, gloves, scarves and cute hats. My favourite part here are the knit pullovers – they should be loose, soft and simply comfy… and I mean the kind of comfy where you do not feel forced to tuck in your belly the whole time. You’ve been doing that all summer, so now finally its time to release the tension… you know what I mean ;). However, this year we are so blessed with having a pretty late summer, or mild early autumn, which kind of postpones the whole cozy phase… and to be honest, I am so ready for that phase! So here is what I do: I simply wear really light and oversized knit. It works perfectly with the current temperatures, plus it comes with all the benefits described above! And nope, it doesn’t feel like this super weird UGG-boots and shorts combination – this kind of knit is just the right material to wear with a summery distressed jeans and sandals or with skirts and ballerinas. Then, the colder it gets, you can start combining it with your boots and add a scarf or a cardigan that keep you warm… until its finally time for the real, heavy oversized knits that give you the ultimate coziness level. Describing winter like that makes you a bit look forward to it, doesn’t it? :)
