Burgundy Culottes for Autumn

Obwohl Culottes letztes Jahr schon absolut im Trend waren, habe ich sie erst diesen Sommer für mich entdeckt. Ja, vielleicht erinnert ihr euch noch an diesen Look. Da meine schwarzen Culottes aus einem sehr leichten Stoff sind, musste ein herbst-/ wintertaugliches Model rein, welches ich dann auch bei Zara gefunden habe – in der perfekten Farbe, burgundy.

Die Grenze zwischen Omalook und super-trendy ist bei Culottes sehr schmal und deshalb sollte man schon zwei Mal in den Spiegel schauen bevor man sich mit dem guten Stück auf die Straße traut. Aber wenn einem dann die perfekte Kombination glückt, fühlt sich der Look einfach so richtig an. Elegant und erwachsen, aber experimentell und hip zugleich. Letzteres gelingt durch die Kombination mit einem Crop Top, einer durchsichtigen Bluse, High Heels, ja sogar Sneaker. Dennoch werde ich versuchen die Culottes noch alltagstauglicher zu kombinieren, vielleicht zu Grobstrick. Mal sehen… ich werde es auf jeden Fall mit euch teilen!

EN: Although culottes have been trending already last year, its been only this summer when I first discovered them for myself. Yes, you might even remember this outfit. But since the fabric of my black culottes is very light, I decided I needed a pair that also works for the lower autumn temperatures. And not much later, I found these amazing burgundy ones at Zara.

The line between grandma-style and super-trendy is very thin, and thats why you should definitely look twice into the mirror before you leave home wearing culottes. But when you finally created the perfect combination, it will instantly feel so right. Elegant and adult, but experimental and hip at the same time. The latter can be achieved through the combination with a crop top, a sheer blouse, high heels, yes even with sneakers. Still I want to create an even more casual look with them… maybe with chunky knit. I’ll see – of course you are the first ones to know!
