How to Style the Female Suit in a Cool and Casual Way

Female suit

I am the spontaneous kind of person. I never thought that I would be able to say that as I was pretty shy and rather insecure as a teenager. But the many times I got thrown into the cold water just made me realize that not everything needs careful preparation nor a detailed plan – „just doing it“ might be exactly the right starting point. Besides, spontaneity is is simply way more exciting, and I love that! So… booking trips to diverse places has become my favorite spontaneous thing to do. Also, spontaneously putting outfits together, like this female suit, has turned out to be just so, so right! Let me tell you about it …

Between Exams and Fashion Shows

Berlin Fashion Week has always been in July and January. Unfortunately I always have had exams during January, so I could just never leave and go to Berlin. While last year I was working and could take some days off for FW, this year, I am doing my Masters and again, am facing the same old problem… Well, I believe that there is almost always a solution to a problem, so my solution was to book a spontaneous, short trip to Berlin between my exams. Last Wednesday, I literally had an exam in the morning, a flight at midday and a fashion show in the evening. Now this is how you seize the day people! Okay, I must admit I was also just driven by a little bit of FOMO (Fear of Missing Out). However, what matters is that the trip was worth it.

How I style the Female Suit not for the Office

The spontaneous trip was booked, but its fashion week, so my outfits have to be outstanding! So I took a little break from studying and literally threw my clothes all over the place. I guess, under these time constraints I thought that this was the most effective strategy to go with… no comments about that. Anyhow, I already had put together three different looks and went back to studying, until all of a sudden I had this thought – „SUIT!!!“. I went back to my closet and grabbed my checked grey blazer from Edited and my cloth pants from Missguided, both I used to wear independently from each other. Turns out, together they make the perfect match! To make the female suit look more cool and casual, I added a pair of glitter boots and a bold make-up with red lips – et voilà – that was my favorite look for Fashion Week.

… and apparently, I was not the only one who liked that look! In fact, it was captured by a street style photographer for the American Vogue and ended up on their website the very same day (Check it out here)! Gotta love being spontaneous!!
